Vijayawada: In a similar vein of thought, at Vijayawada, the students held a dharna the Sub Collector Office, showing their dissonance for the ill treatment against the Indian diplomat, Devyani by the American consulate.

The students carried out a huge protest near Sub Collector office. The students have been supported strongly by the leaders of various political parties.
The Congress party leader, Shivaji spoke to the media and demanded for immediate measures from the Union Government to correct the behavior of the US authorities.
A note of request concerning the issue has been submitted by the students to the AO at Sub Collector office, Surya Rao.
