ACB officials raid RTA check-posts in seven dists
ACB Officials Raid RTA check-posts in Seven Dists, Anti-Corruption Bureau. The private persons are being questioned by the officials, who split into three teams for conducting simultaneous searches in Nizamabad, Anantapur, Ranga Reddy, Chittoor, Srikakulam, Nellore and East Godavari districts since the midnight of Friday.

Hyderabad: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted simultaneous raids on several RTA check posts across the State and seized illegally collected and unaccounted cash, including Rs.2 lakh at Ichchapuram, in Srikakulam district, and arrested 14 private persons operating there.
The private persons are being questioned by the officials, who split into three teams for conducting simultaneous searches in Nizamabad, Anantapur, Ranga Reddy, Chittoor, Srikakulam, Nellore and East Godavari districts since the midnight of Friday.
The officials seized Rs.1 lakh unaccounted cash after conducting searches at Bheemunipalmen check post in Tada mandal of Nellore district. They took two persons into custody. In Anantapur district, they raided the Penukonda check post following information that the staff were illegally collecting cash. They confiscated Rs.53,000 cash, records and arrested two private persons. At the Salur inter-State check post in Bodhan mandal of Nizamabad district, the officials seized Rs.11,000 from MVI Srinivas Rao. They took into custody several private persons and are questioning them.
In neighbouring Ranga Reddy district, they arrested two officials and four private persons at Peddashapur check post. At Naraharipet check post in Gudipala mandal of Chittoor district, they confiscated Rs.90,000 and took eight persons into custody.
In East Godavari district, the officials raided Tetagunta check post and seized unaccounted cash of Rs.85,000 which was collected by an MVI and four private persons from lorries and other vehicles.
