Police swung into action and surrounded the protestors ensuring smooth passage of the Chief Minister’s convoy.
Hyderabad: Protesting against the alleged anti-Telangana stance of the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, TRS activists led by its Jubilee Hills unit leader Satish Reddy tried to block his convoy near the National Institute of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME) at Yousufguda on Saturday.
However, a large contingent of police already deployed at the location foiled their attempt. Police swung into action and surrounded the protestors ensuring smooth passage of the Chief Minister’s convoy.
West Zone DCP Satyanarayana suffered minor injuries as he fell down in the melee that ensued between TRS activists and the police. Protestors were shifted to Jubilee Hills police station and were let-off in the evening.
