Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would resume his 'Samaikya Sankharavam' yatra at Palamaneru in Chittoor district on December 27, party sources said on Sunday.
It may be recalled that Jagan had suspended his yatra to meet the leaders of various political parties across the country to garner support against bifurcation of the State.
He would resume his yatra at Palamaneru and end in Srikakulam district.
According to the tentative schedule, the YSRC leader would participate in a public meeting to be held at Rayalapeta on the second day of his yatra.
He would also take up Odarpu Yatra in Kammapalem to console the families of the victims who committed suicide after hearing the news of the tragic death of Jagan’s father and former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the chopper crash in September 2009.
During his yatra, Jagan would hold party meetings at the mandal level to ascertain the party’s strength and the strategy to be adopted to counter the rival Congress and TDP in the ensuing general elections in 2014.
Party sources said that senior Congress and TDP leaders were all set to join YSR Congress during the yatra in coastal Andhra.
