Blasts APNGO association president Ashok Babu

Rajahmundry: Mala Mahanadu chief Karem Sivaji resigned as vice-president of the Samaikya Rashtra ParirakshanaVedika on Monday. He came down heavily on president of APNGOs Association and vedika P Ashok Babu for ‘diluting’ the Seemandhra agitation.

Speaking to The Hans India, Sivaji alleged that the Seemandhra stir was diluted purely because of unilateral decisions taken by Ashok Babu, whom he criticized for insulting dalits and their community leaders. He faulted the NGO association chief for not setting up a political JAC after conducting the all-party meeting, as promised.

Sivaji alleged that both the Congress and TDP leaders had scolded Ashok Babu at the all- party meeting. He questioned the NGO leader how could political parties join hands with him after being criticised for everything. He observed that Ashok Babu had utilized the all-party meeting for the association elections.

Sivaji faulted the NGO leader for not laying siege to the Assembly after T Bill was tabled.

He said employees of AP Transco, RTC and the Secretariat were staying away from the Seemandhra agitation following Ashok Babu’s attitude. He faulted with the leader for not consulting anyone before calling off the NGOs’ strike.
