I deserve even Padma Vibhushan, says Mohan Babu

Annavaram: “I am eligible to receive awards for my endeavour in the film industry spread over three decades,” noted film actor Mohan Babu stated here on Tuesday. . He arrived at Satyadeva temple along with wife to offer special prayers. He was welcomed by temple authorities.

Mohan Babu told the media that he did not have complete information on the High Court’s verdict to return the Padma Shri award. He explained that he was eligible for the awards like Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan apart from Padma Shri which were given by identifying the hard work of a person. He said he had the support of the people in society apart from the film industry. Answering a question, he said that he did not think of any conspiracy behind the episode of taking back the award, but he did observe the role of some people. He refused to make further comments as the issue was sub-judice.

However, he was silent on returning the Padma Shri as directed by the High Court He also made it clear that he had no intention of returning to politics at present
