KCR, Jagan to lead teams to Prez today, President Pranab Mukherjee, Bifurcation of the State. He said that they will also plead with the President not to extend the time period given to both the Houses of Assembly beyond January 23.
Hyderabad: The TRS and YSRCP delegations will meet the President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday and submit petitions for and against the bifurcation of the State.
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will lead their respective delegations. According to the TRS Legislature Party leader Etela Rajender, TRS will urge the President to ensure that the T-Bill was sent back to him at the earliest so that it could be introduced in Parliament during the special session.
He said that they will also plead with the President not to extend the time period given to both the Houses of Assembly beyond January 23. Rajender said that they will apprise the President of the moves being made by the Seemandhra leaders, including Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, to see that the process to carve out the new State gets delayed. They will inform the President that further delay in completing the process would result in widening the rift between the two regions. The TRS will also register their protest against the conditions made in regard to Hyderabad. On the other hand, the delegation of YSRCP will submit signed affidavits opposing bifurcation of the State.
