  • To meet Prez and urge him to keep the State united

Hyderabad: The Visalandhra Mahasabha on Sunday asked the Samaikyandhra supporters and sympathisers to raise black flags on the roofs of their houses when the AP Reorganisation Bill comes up for discussion in the State Assembly.

The representatives from all the 23 districts in the State participated in a meeting held at Visalandhra office at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. They discussed the future course of action and resolved to fight against the Centre’s decision to divide the State. The Mahasabha demanded that Seemandhra MLAs send a strong signal to the Centre reflecting the anti-bifurcation opinion of the majority in the State. They also hoped that the MLAs representing different constituencies of Greater Hyderabad would oppose the draft T Bill in the Assembly.

The Mahasabha leaders would also be meeting President Pranab Mukherjee to appeal to him to keep the State united. They wanted a resolution to be moved on the floor of the House to keep the State united on the day the Bill comes up for discussion.
