Medaram Jatara gets 100 crore grant for arrangements
All the arrangements have been almost completed by this time for Medaram Sammakka-Saarakka jatara, as the dates are approaching for the Jatara held at Medaram of Tadwai mandal in Warangal district. A grant of rupees 100 crores has been received for these arrangements.
With an approximate expenditure of rupees 2 crores 80 lakh, a bride has been constructed over Jampanna Lake. Also, provisions of drinking water and toilets have been undertaken. Even a hospital has been built for the sake of devotees.
The arrangements have been personally reviewed by the Union Minister for Social justice and Empowerment, Balram Naik; Ministers in the state cabinet, Saraiah and Ramireddy Venkata Reddy; Member of Parliament of Sirisilla constituency, Rajaiah; Congress Party chief whip, Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy; MLA of Mulugu constituency, Seetakka; and Warangal district collector, Kishan. They passed clear instructions to finish all the arrangements by January 24, 2014.
