TIRUMALA: According to the JEO of Tirumala, KS Sreenivas Raju, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTDs) is making enormous arrangements for the devotees, with an intention to provide comfortable darshan on the promising days of New Year Day, Vaikuntha Ekadasi and Vaikuntha Dwadasi which fall on January 1, 11 and 12 respectively.

The major restrictions are appended below:
  • On January 1 and January 11, VIPs will be allowed only after 1.30 a.m. Mandatorily, ID cards are required to be produced for both darshan and accommodation. No VIP is allowed to accompany more than 6 members with him; and recommendation letters will not be considered at any cost.
  • Sarva Darshan devotees will be allowed from 5 p.m. in the queue lines earmarked for the same, on December, 31; January 1, 11 and 12. The temple administration plans to restrict the darshan for only 20,000 people on the said days.
  • With a pre-allotted time slot, the devotees who follow the foot way will be issued with the special darshan tickets. The devotees following foot way will be allowed only after 12 a.m. on January, 1.
  • TTD has issued only 4800 tickets of Rs.50 through e-darshan counters for January 1 while totally cancelled this category of darshan during Vaikuntha Ekadasi on January 11.
  • Rupees 300/- special darshan rickets have been totally cancelled for January, 1 and January, 11. However, rupees 5000/- special darshan tickets will be issued for January, 12.
  • Privilege darshans for the physically challenged, senior citizens and parents with infants will not be entertained on the mentioned 3 days. Even, Arjitha Sevas and advance booking of accommodations are cancelled during these days.
