Hyderabad: As the New Year ushers in, political leaders from Seemandhra and Telangana regions will be working out strategies to fulfill their regional aspirations. While the Seemandhra leaders will be holding a massive public meeting at Visakhapatnam on January 2, a day later, all the 119 T MLAs cutting across party lines, will meet in Hyderabad to finalise the strategy to be adopted in the Assembly when the draft T Bill is scheduled to be taken up for discussion. TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao will also participate in the meeting

According to Minister for Infrastructure Ganta Srinivasa Rao, the Visakhapatnam meeting is being held in coordination with various organisations. Apart from Seemandhra MLAs, the six MPs who had given notice of no-confidence against the UPA government in the Lok Sabha will address the meeting.

The decision to organise the meeting of all T MLAs was taken on December 26 when the TRS president and Minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy met at a private function here. According to Jana Reddy, the meeting was being organised to thwart the attempts of Seemandhra MLAs to stall the proceedings of the Assembly. All the 119 MLAs will make a joint appeal to the Speaker to take all necessary measures to see that the discussion on the Bill takes place and that it was sent back to the President within the stipulated time.
