Sarve asks JP to contest on Congress Party ticket
Sarve asks JP to contest on Congress Party ticket, Sarvey Sathyanaryana. He said JP gained popularity and good name in the state assembly and wished him to join the Congress party.
Hyderabad: The Union Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways, Sarvey Sathyanaryana said he would convince Sonia Gandhi to allot Congress party ticket for Malkajgiri constituency for Jaya Prakash Narayan, if he is willing to contest on Congress party ticket.
He said JP gained popularity and good name in the state assembly and wished him to join the Congress party. When this entire episode happened, JP was just sitting beside Sarvey. He just smiled in response to the proposal of Sarvey.
On Tuesday, a newly constructed water reservoir was inaugurated by Sarvey for which Kukatpally MLA, Jaya Prakash Narayan also attended. Later, Sarvey addressed the gathering and said he will be contesting from Malkajgiri in the 2014 elections. He said YS Rajasekhar Reddy will ever remain at position 1 among the leaders, who rendered good governance. He praised the late Chief Minister of introducing services like 108, Arogyasri, Jalayagnam etc. Later, JP also addressed the crowd. Many more prominent people also participated in the program.
