The AICC secretary who came to Hyderabad to participate in a private progamme, called Sridhar Babu over the phone asking him to meet him. Panchayat Raj Minister, K.Jana Reddy briefed Khuntia on the controversy surrounding the sudden change of Sridhar Babu's portfolio.

Khuntia in his one-on-one meeting with Sridhar Babu reportedly pacified the latter and told him not to quit the Cabinet. Now, it appears that Sridhara Babu won't be sending his resignation letter to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
Without elaborating much over the issue, the AICC secretary maintained that it is the prerogative of the Chief Minister to change the portfolios of his Ministers.
Khuntia's visit to Hyderabad attained significance as the Assembly will begin from tomorrow.
