RTC to regularise 24,577 employees
RTC to regularise 24,577 employees, AP State Road Transport Corporation employees. They said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy already approved the proposal and the GO would be passed on January 3.
Hyderabad: The State government will soon be releasing an order approving regularisation of services of as many as 24,577 contract employees working in the AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC). According to Union leaders, the services of 9,500 RTC employees would be regularised in the first phase after the management enforces the orders.
They said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy already approved the proposal and the GO would be passed on January 3. “Transport department will be receiving a letter from government approving the same,” said a Union leader. It is already known that employees have been demanding the government for regularisation of the contract employees for over an year. Several round of talks also took place between the Union leaders and Minister for Transport Botcha Satyanarayana in 2013.
