State-level science expo concludes, State-level ‘Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition. Speaking on the occasion, Prof MSS Lakshmi Watts of the State Council for Education Research and Training called upon the teachers to encourage children to develop science models.

Vijayawada: The 41st State-level ‘Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition- 2014’ concluded on a grand note on Tuesday. About 50 projects have been chosen for demonstration in the South zone science exhibition scheduled to be held in Tamil Nadu from January 17. Krishna District Education Officer D Devananda Reddy congratulated the participants and winners who made it to the South zone and national-level exhibitions. The prizes for the models were categorized under agriculture, energy, medicine, resources and others. Three prizes each under elementary and secondary sections were awarded.

Students of Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) from across the State won many prizes in the categories apart from Teacher’s models. Students hailing from Karimnagar, Ranga Reddy, Srikakulam, Khammam, Warangal, Medak, Ananthapur, Mahboobnagar, Kadapa, Chittoor, Kurnool districts bagged the primary prizes.
