Will spell doom for Seemandhra: TDP, State’s division, AP Reorganisation Bill. He accused the Congress and YSRCP of being responsible for the present crisis in the State.

Hyderabad: Strongly opposing the State’s division, TDP leader Palle Raghunath Reddy on Thursday urged all legislators supporting united Andhra Pradesh to go to Rashtrapathi Bhavan and try to impress upon the President to stall the process of bifurcation. Participating in the debate on AP Reorganisation Bill, he said that bifurcation of the State would result in injustice to Seemandhra region. “The residuary State would suffer irreparable loss. The only option before the MLAs is to stall the process before the Bill is sent to Parliament,’’ he said. He alleged that AICC president Sonia Gandhi conspired to divide the State only to make her son and AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister.

He accused the Congress and YSRCP of being responsible for the present crisis in the State. “YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has colluded with the Congress to get rid of the corruption cases pending against him and to protect his assets. Jagan is helping the Centre through backdoor politics for the smooth completion of the State division,’’ he alleged.

Reiterating that his party president N Chandrababu Naidu supported Telangana cause, Reddy said the main demand put before the Centre by the party was to render equal justice to all stakeholders before dividing the State. Taking a decision on the State bifurcation without holding consultations with all the stakeholders was against the spirit of democracy and federal structure, he opined.
