To mark protest against state bifurcation
Hyderabad: Employees backing Samaikyandhra and others on Monday burnt copies of the draft Telangana Bill in traditional Sankranti bonfire at several places in the region, as a mark of protest against the State’s division. APNGOs’ Association president P Ashok Babu led the protest at Ongole.
Noting that the State’s division would not have much impact on politicians, as they could continue to carry on with their activities, he said the bifurcation would adversely impact the Seeandhra students and employees. Similar protests were organised in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.
