Anantapuramu: Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi founder president Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy lashed out at Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for their hunger for power. Speaking to the media at the residence of district RPS president Ramesh Gowd at Sharadanagar in the town on Tuesday, he said that it was unfortunate that they did not speak on the backwardness of the Rayalaseema region during the debate in the State Assembly though the three leaders hailed from the region.

He wondered as to why Chandrababu was skipping the Assembly session while the YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma was remaining silent in the Assembly. They have no concern for the people of the Rayalaseema region, he said. Coming down heavily on Kiran Kumar Reddy who was boasting that he would stop the process of bifurcation at any cost. Using cricketing terminology to describe the happenings in the state, he wondered as to how the Chief Minister who boasts that he would bat till the last ball was bowled when there was no match at all.

He said that his party would sweep the polls in 2014 and come to power just like the Aam Aadmi Party in New Delhi. The political situation here was similar to the conditions that were prevailing in 1983 when the Telugu Desam Party stormed to power.
