Jagan takes a dig at Congress leaders, Jaganmohan Reddy, Rajasekhara Reddy. Jagan unveiled the statue of YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Kothapallimitta.
Tirupati: YSRCP president and Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy criticised the Congress party leaders for forgetting the outstanding contribution made by YS Rajasekhara Reddy for bringing back the party to power in the State.
Addressing a meeting in GD Nellore constituency as part of his Samaikya Sankharavam campaign in the district on Wednesday, he said it was YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who took the historic 1,600 km long padayatra, was solely responsible for the Congress to win in the 2004 elections. But the leaders of the same party were objecting to the installation his statues ignoring the fact that sans Rajasekhara Reddy’s efforts the party would not have achieved power, he said referring to the local Congress leaders opposing the installation of YSR statue at many places, including Nagari town. He further said: “We have not seen Ramarajya, but the people witnessed in the state a golden era during YS Rajasekhara Reddy rule.”
