JC revokes decision of contesting Rajya Sabha polls, JC Diwakr Reddy, Rajya Sabha polls. From the other end, MLC Chaitanya Raju and MLA Prabhakar Reddy have been in the race of Rajya Sabha polls as the Congress party rebel candidates.
Hyderabad: The Congress Party MLA, JC Diwakr Reddy, who was all set ready to file nomination for Rajya Sabha polls, has revoked his decision at the last minute. He made an official announcement to this effect. Suddenly, JC has changed his mind of contesting polls, making everyone astonished. JC said he received telephone calls from the candidates of Congress Party. He said the trio urged him to revoke his decision.
From the other end, MLC Chaitanya Raju and MLA Prabhakar Reddy have been in the race of Rajya Sabha polls as the Congress party rebel candidates. Even though JC planned to be in the race, reportedly most of the MLAs supported the candidature of Chaitanya Raju which ultimately caused him to take his step back. K Kesava Rao filed nomination as the TRS candidate early this morning at 11.30 a.m.
