CM’s hunger strike will be his ‘last ball’: VH, V Hanumantha Rao, Telangana Bill,CM’s hunger strike. As part of Indiramma Ratha Yatra, the MP has been touring various places in Karimnagar district for the past three days.

Karimnagar: Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has stated that the indefinite hunger strike allegedly proposed by the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy after January 30 against the AP Reorganisation Bill would be his `last ball’ of the cricket match as was earlier stated by him.

As part of Indiramma Ratha Yatra, the MP has been touring various places in Karimnagar district for the past three days. The meetings during his tour were intended to express thanks to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for sanctioning separate Telangana State.

Addressing the meeting here on Tuesday, Hanumantha Rao ridiculed the proposed plan by Chief Miniter to go on indefinite hunger strike opposing the Telangana Bill. ``The decision taken by the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on Telangana issue is final and the party members have to obey the decision taken by the party high command. The hunger strike proposal is only to mislead the people of Seemandhra region’’, he said.

He pointed out that party high command, as was the case on earlier occasions, would ask the Chief Minister to quit the post. It was the practice of the party high command to give a shock to the leaders who try to revolt against the leadership. And that would be the end of the match, he said. He flayed the Congress leaders for not nominating a BC leader to Rajya Sabha under its quota from the State. He also flayed the BJP leaders for not allocating Rajya Sabha seats to BC leaders.
