Don’t rush Bill without doing justice to all regions

  • Gives up hopes of speech in Assembly
  • To go to people to ‘expose’ Cong, YSRC

Hyderabad: Despite no hopes of a chance to deliver a nearly four-hour-long speech on the AP Reorganisation Bill 2013 in the Assembly, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is nonetheless in a combative mood and is devising a strategy to ensure party’s victory in the general elections.

Naidu is planning to take up a tour of the State to explain to people how the Congress party and the YSRCP were indulging in

politics of collusion and were helping the Centre rush

through the Bill to bifurcate the State without ensuring equal justice to all regions.

Naidu during his speeches will highlight all the issues which he could not put forward his views before the Assembly as the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy “conspired” to prevent him from making his speech as he feared that the Congress game-plan would stand exposed. He will try to rebut the allegations that were leveled by Congress and other pro-T parties on the TDP during the debate on the Draft T Bill in the Assembly. He will also take on the YSRCP and will lash out at it, saying that it had implemented the hidden agenda to help Congress party under the guise of Samaikyandhra. All this, he would claim, is part of the script prepared by Congress leaders in New Delhi.

It is learnt that Naidu will explain how Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy after about 40 days suddenly realised that the Centre had not sent ‘Original’ bill and there were inconsistencies in it. He would also take the line that Kiran had given a notice under the Rule 77 only to see that the debate got derailed and that the Bill sent back to Delhi without proper discussion.

Naidu would take the line that Kiran was playing to the gallery in trying to project himself as a staunch integrationist on one hand, and was helping the Congress high command in taking forward the issue of bifurcation.

Naidu is also working out strategies to strengthen the party.

He is trying to woo all those leaders who had left the party in 2009 and joined PRP led by Chiranjeevi. Naidu, party leaders say, is trying to see that the party gets good support from the NTR family members.

While it is likely to field film actor N Balakrishna from one of the constituencies in Krishna district, it will also utilise the oratorical skills and popularity of Jr NTR in the campaign for general elections.

There are speculations in TDP that Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, husband of Union Minister D Purandeswari would come back to TDP. The reason for this speculation is the sudden appearance of flexis in Guntur region welcoming him toTDP. However, this is a remote possibility.
