Jagan to chalk out roadmap at second plenary today, YSR Congress Party, general elections. Sources said that the party, which has been fighting against the bifurcation of State, would adopt an important political resolution in favour of united Andhra.

Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party is all set to gear up the rank and file for the general elections. A roadmap for this is likely to be presented at its second plenary which would he held at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district on Sunday. The plenary is being held after a gap of three years. Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy will deliver the concluding speech in the evening while the party honorary president YS Vijayamma will set the tone of the meeting in her inaugural address.

Sources said that the party, which has been fighting against the bifurcation of State, would adopt an important political resolution in favour of united Andhra.

The party, it should be mentioned here, had supported bifurcation of the State at its first plenary held in 2011 and had said that it respects the sentiments of the people of Telangana.

Jagan’s sister Sharmila, who had taken up ‘Maro Prasthanam’ padayatra in the state last year, would also participate in the plenary. The party would also discuss the political developments taking place with regard to the division of State after the Assembly rejected Telangana Bill in the Assembly. Meanwhile, the party election committee issued a notification for the election of the party president on Saturday. Jagan would be re-elected as party president unanimously.
