Kurnool: Flogging himself with a belt near the Collectorate here on Wednesday, president of Rayalaseema Janata Party Kotturu Satyanarayana demanded that the Centre introduce a Bill in Parliament to form a separate Rayalaseema State even before introducing the Telangana Bill.
He said that flogging was staged to mark his protest against the Congress party for neglecting the sentiments of the people from Rayalaseema, which remains backward.
He said that people’s representatives would be taught a fitting lesson in the forthcoming elections. “Rayalaseema leaders have been supporting Samaikyandhra movement only to protect their interests,” he remarked.
