New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Major Industries Minister J Geetha Reddy led a delegation of Congress MPs and MLAs to President Pranab Mukherjee. Besides complaining to the President about the assault on women Ministers, she is understood to have impressed upon the President on the need to expedite the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, Geetha Reddy being emotional while narrating to the President the sequence of events at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan on Wednesday. She regretted that the Chief Minister failed to intervene and stop the attack. What is worse, he looked the other way when women Ministers were being illtreated. Geetha Reddy narrated to President Pranab Mukherjee the unfortunate incident at the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in the Capital.

Geetha Reddy said the way he allowed the assault on women Ministers only exposed Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s lack of faith in democratic values. Referring to the demand of the Chief Minister that Andhra Pradesh should be kept united, Geetha Reddy said after women Ministers were treated that way, how could they remain in a united State.
