Kiran mulls resignation; Digvijay says no disciplinary action against Kiran

According to the sources, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy has told to his close allies that he would think of resignation after the decision of President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. A few leaders of Congress Party called on the Chief Minister on knowing that he is likely to offer resignation, if the Andhra Pradesh reorganization bill was introduced in the parliament.

It is learnt that Kiran Kumar asked the leaders to let the Rajya Sabha polls finish and the president decision be known. Kiran has reportedly expressed his confidence that President will definitely consider the fact that the bill was rejected by the state assembly. Defeating this, if the bill gets tabled in the Parliament, reportedly Kiran Kumar would quit from his CM post.

From the other end the in charge minister of Andhra Pradesh state affairs, Digvijay Singh addressed the media on Friday night and said no disciplinary action will be taken against Kiran Kumar Reddy. He said the party does not want to tie a knot of critical state bifurcation issue with disciplinary actions. He said he knew that the cabinet has approved the bill with few amendments and urged all the parties who extended their support for the state bifurcation to cooperate for passing the bill in either house. He said the amendments which have been made to the prevailing bill were based on the proposals sent by the state assembly.
