Samaikyandhra supporters hold dharna at Collectorate

Kurnool: The Samaikyandhra Parirakshana Samithi (Forum for the protection of United Andhra Pradesh) held a protest at the Collectorate in Kurnool Town on Friday opposing the introduction of the State Reorganization Bill in Parliament. The government employees boycotted their duties even on the second day and the protests in the district have been intensified. An altercation took place between the employees of the Water Board, who wanted to attend to duties and supporters of Samaikyandhra who prevented them. All the employees were sent out and the office was locked up. The lawyers expressed their resentment by boycotting the duties and locked up the court rooms. Even the district judge was not allowed to go into the court.

In another incident, the employees of medical and health department organized a road blockade at the NTR circle in the town.
