Hyderabad: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Friday alleged that the Centre was rushing through Telangana process and its acts tantamount to influence the President. At a press conference, the party senior leader Shoba Nagi Reddy said that the Centre was making moves as if it was an issue of national urgency. It should not have announced the dates to introduce the Bill in the Parliament without the consent of the President.

She also ridiculed reports that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would resign immediately after the Telangana Bill was introduced in the Parliament. She felt that this was nothing but part of drama scripted from Delhi. “What is the point in resigning after he has done all the damage and helped the party to bring things this far,” she said.

Taking potshots at TDP president Chandrababu Naidu, Shoba said that Kiran Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu woke up late to stall the moves of the high command. This indicates that both of them had colluded with Congress party in the process of bifurcation, she added.
