Hyderabad: Eminent educationist and former MLC Chukka Ramaiah on Friday lauded the contribution of Devulapalli Prasad, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal, in the field of science and technology.
He was speaking at a felicitation function for Prasad, who recently received the prestigious Japan Coal Energy Research Centre and Indian Coal Mining Centre award.

Ramaiah said Prasad was a symbol of immense human resource, who, he said, richly deserved the Japanese honour. He said trade in black gold was taking place among various nations, with technology acting as the bridge. Replying to the felicitations, Prasad said he was indebted to his parents who instilled discipline in him, which was reflected in his work culture. Retired bureaucrat Ramachandra Murthy presided.
