Hyderabad: With the Chief Minister, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, all set to step down on Tuesday, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) was literally disbanded on Monday. Four senior bureaucrats were among the six officials who shifted out of the CMO on Monday. Key officials of the CMO reportedly opted for less important assignments in view of the political changes in the offing.

K S Jawahar Reddy, Secretary to Chief Minister, has been transferred and posted as Secretary to Government (Projects), Irrigation and Command Area Development and N Sridhar, Special Secretary to Chief Minister, has been shifted from CMO and posted as the Commissioner (Distilleries and Breweries) and Managing Director of AP Beverages Corporation.

Ajeya Kallam, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, has been moved to the Finance Department as its Principal Secretary, and S S Rawat, Special Secretary to Chief Minister has been posted as the CMD of AP Genco. Likewise, M Surender, Officer-on-Special Duty at the CMO has been posted as the Managing Director of A P Seeds Corporation.

Interestingly, the Press Secretary attached to the CMO, A Satya Rao, has been given an elevation as the Chairman of Press Academy. Satya Rao, who retired as Director of Information and Public Relations Department, had been on extension at the CMO.

Adityanath Das, Principal Secretary of Irrigation and CAD has been transferred to Infrastructure and Investment departments as principal secretary. G Anantha Ramu, Commissioner, Transport, has been posted as Secretary in Social Welfare Department in the existing vacancy. K Ramakrishna Rao, has been sent to finance department as special secretary and he would continue to hold charge of the post of the director general, Centre for Good Governance.

The services of K Vijayanand, Managing Director of APGenco are withdrawn from the Energy Department and he has been posted as the Commissioner of Transport. M Jagadeeshwar, Commissioner (Distilleries and Breweries) and Managing Director of the AP Beverages Corporation, has been transferred and posted as the Commissioner of School Education in place of Vani Mohan who is posted as the Commissioner of Employment and Training in the existing vacancy.

G Rekha Rani, a State Civil Services Officer, who has been conferred IAS, has been posted as the Joint Collector of Nellore district.

Interestingly, posting has not been given to M T Krishna Babu who has been transferred from the Infrastructure and Investment Department as Principal Secretary. According to the official sources, Kiran Reddy decided to give plum postings to the other officials in his peshi before he resigns.
