Hyderabad: Forty-one persons, including 10 women, were arrested by the Cyberabad police after raiding a villa at Shamirpet on Sunday night.
“We found women dancing semi-nude, and men, all in their mid 20s, enjoying the vulgar show,” said Balanagar DCP AR Srinivas on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off that obscene dances were being organised inside, a special team of the DCP raided the villa located close to Leonia Resorts in Shamirpet on the city outskirts and arrested them. Police seized cash worth Rs 4.4 lakh, a car, two laptops besides 32 cell phones from their possession. The women were found indulging in obscene dances and activities. “We are awaiting blood sample reports of the accused to see if they had taken drugs,” the cops said.
As per reports, those arrested were from Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Karnataka. All the accused were arrested under Section 294 (obscene acts and songs) of the IPC and shifted them to Petbasheerabad police station.
