Harsha Kumar gave the notice shortly before the Lok Sabha met for the day.

The Notice was given under Rule 198 of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha.

Ahead of the commencement of the proceedings of Parliament, the TDP MPs staged a dharna at the main entrance to Parliament, protesting against the government decision on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, both Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day, amid slogans of Save Andhra Pradesh in both Houses.
