Kiran clears Rs 10k cr projects
Kiran clears Rs 10k cr projects, N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Reservoir in Mahabubnagar. The Chief Minister has cleared another file raising the capacity of the Relampadu Balancing Reservoir in Mahabubnagar district from 2.30 tmc to 4 tmc.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is on his way out, has sanctioned various projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore during the last one week.
The files, which got the nod of the Chief Minister, included 35 mini hydel projects, allocation of lands to various projects including resorts. Interestingly, he cleared some files pertaining to some officials caught by Anti-Corruption Bureau. He even finalised some promotions and also released funds for irrigation projects, too.
Kiran allocated 20 acres of land at Kurmannapalem village under Chinagadili mandal in Visakhapatnam district to three private persons at throw-away price. The government lands in Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Kukatpally have also been alienated to private companies. Some Congress MLAs were major beneficiaries of the land allotment.
The Chief Minister has cleared another file raising the capacity of the Relampadu Balancing Reservoir in Mahabubnagar district from 2.30 tmc to 4 tmc. The project was estimated to cost Rs 193 crore and the contract was entrusted to Sri Venkateswara Engineering Company, Nellore. Similarly, he sanctioned six hydel projects in Nalgonda, three in Guntur, four mini hydel projects in Nellore, two each in Prakasam and Vizianagaram and one in Adilabad districts.
Kiran also cleared the file of a deputy commissioner Ramgopal, who was nabbed by ACB sleuths while taking Rs 11 lakh as bribe. The official was relieved from the inquiry. On the other hand, budget was released to various contractors entrusted with irrigation projects.
