Call for Nellore bandh today
Nellore: Damodar Joshi, NGOs leader who has been working as superintendent in the Munubolu Mandal Parishad office in the district for the last five years, collapsed during the protest at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Monday. He died on the way to hospital.
NGOs have called for Nellore bandh on Tuesday, to protest the death. Joshi, resident of Vedapalem in the town, had raised slogans that he would fight the AP Reorganization Bill-2013 till the end. His death proved the slogan to be true. A deathly silence prevailed in the ground following the tragedy. The NGOs leader is survived by wife, Maryvaram, a son and a daughter.
