Naidu eyeing power in both States
Naidu eyeing power in both States, N Chandrababu Naidu, N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Telugu Desam Party has decided to go aggressive in both the Seemandhra and Telangana regions with a single point agenda of development.

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party has decided to go aggressive in both the Seemandhra and Telangana regions with a single point agenda of development. Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who has been holding separate meetings with party leaders from both the regions, said that the main task in Telangana State and residuary Andhra Pradesh was to rebuild them and make them prosperous. He told the leaders that it was only TDP which has a proven track record to develop a State, could build a magnificent new capital for Seemandhra State.
Taking potshots at N Kiran Kumar Reddy, caretaker Chief Minister, over the reported move to float a new political party, Naidu questioned, "What did he do for the people to launch a party? What are his achievements?” The TDP president said, when people came on to the streets opposing the bifurcation of the State, Kiran sat at home clearing (controversial) files and making money. Kiran was a pawn in the hands of Congress high command during the process of bifurcation and even the move to launch a new party was part of Congress script, he said.
Addressing TDP leaders from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions, Naidu said that the TDP had all along maintained that TRS party would merge with the Congress ahead of the ensuing elections, while the YSR Congress Party would follow suit after the polls and they were proving to be correct. Claiming that that YSRCP's graph was going down by the day and anti-Congress wave prevailed across the country, he said that TDP was now in a position where it can win in both States.
Naidu had held a similar meeting with Telangana leaders on Saturday.
With the state set for division soon, the TDP is drawing a strategy to re-establish itself firmly in both the states focusing on a development agenda. Hinting at possible alliance with BJP, he said the TDP would once again play an important role in the national politics.
He called upon the rank and file to move like a ‘bullet’ in the election. He ridiculed the centre’s announcement to accord special status to Seemandhra after the bifurcation. Giving such status without the approval of the National Development Council (NDC) was only eyewash, he added.
