Sonia, Rahul’s tour in Telangana imminent
State bifurcation turns to be the crucial issue that has changed the entire political scenario in the state. To turn the prevailing situation in the state which is not in favour of the Congress Party at present, favorable to Congress Party, reportedly, all three members of the Gandhi clan – Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka – would be touring the State.
The Telangana party leadership has been inviting the AICC president and vice-president to address a series of public meetings in the region before March 30, while Seemandhra Congress leaders are said to be pitching hard for Priyanka Gandhi to tour their region to shore up the party’s chances.
According to available sources as many as four public meetings are planned in Telangana – two by Sonia Gandhi and two others by Rahul Gandhi. Nevertheless, news is making rounds that Priyanka will take up the responsibility of addressing the public meetings in Seemandhra region.
