Congress, CPI alliance likely

Congress, CPI Alliance LikelyAccording to sources, the alliance between Congress and CPI parties is almost confirmed in Telangana region. It is learnt that the Communist Party of India has submitted a list of 17 Assembly constituencies that the party would like to contest in looming elections and asked Congress Party to spare at least 12 among them. Further, the CPI is also interested in Nalgonda and Khammam Parliamentary constituencies and it is likely to get one from those.

The Assembly constituencies on which CPI has an eye include Kothagudem, Vaira, Bellampalli and Manugodu, Pinapaka, Devarakonda, Husnabad, Narsapur, Mahabubnagar, Stationghanpur, Vardanna Peta, Nagarkurnool, Ibrahimpatnam, Uppal, Chandrayangutta, Bahadurpura, Maheswaram.

There are hardly any constituencies of Congress sitting MLAs and even few ministers in the list which Congress is ready to give up. The process of seat sharing may be completed in a day or two as both the sides are looking to be supple to make the bond stronger.

Also, from the other end, TRS tried its best for alliance with CPI, but, without making any concrete decision on the seat sharing.
