Guv asks CS to prepare action plan on drinking water

Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan has directed Chief Secretary P K Mohanty to prepare an action plan to augment drinking water supply to all villages during this summer.

Narasimhan said that the public should not face any difficulty in getting potable water in the villages. He advised the officials to take up alternative water supply arrangements wherever necessary. “Several complaints are being received on irregular supply of drinking water in many residential colonies in the twin cities, particularly in the slums under the GHMC area,” he said. He directed the HMWS&SB officials to submit a detailed water supply programme in the twin cities and the action plan for the ensuing summer season.
