Hyderabad: Amid so many expectations, the fans of Pawan Kalyan who attended the Jana Sena meeting at Visakhapatnam have been eventually disappointed with Pawan Kalyan’s decision of not contesting in the looming general elections. Pawan took every one by shock by supporting Modi at centre but he didn’t want to contest or didn’t disclose whom he would support in state. Though it wasn’t mentioned by Pawan directly, many assumed that Pawan is pro-TDP. When Pawan announced his single line schema is about eradication of corruption many have thought that why he didn’t take on Jagan when numerous corruption charges have been pending against the latter. Keeping a check to all this Pawan had blasted Jagan’s corruption and reminded the magnitude of voting for an experienced leader like Chandra Babu on the eve of building a new state in an exclusive interview given to news daily in the state.

Dr. Suman K Kasturi

As far as Pawan is concerned, he thinks late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and his son Jagan are the main culprits for the situation that the state at this time is facing. He opined that YS Jagan should wait until the corruption charges against get cleared before he requests public to make him CM.

The snippets of his interview are:

  • Because of what Jagan did, most of the senior IAS officers are afraid of working in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Pawan said that he was surprised when TDP leaders said Chandra Babu isn’t letting them being corrupted but if it was YSR he would let them do fraud to any extent.
  • While answering whether he objected at the time of PRP merger with Congress, he said that he didn’t think any one will believe if he would say that he would take over PRP at that time. But, said Pawan that he thought even with a single person in the party they should be able to go ahead.
  • He said it wasn’t much useful for Chiranjeevi resigning and fighting against state bifurcation.
  • While answering whether he would quit films, he said that he used to participate in shooting for 100 days every year but now he would reduce it to 50 days.

With the gist of the ibid interview, it becomes evident that Pawan Kalyan strongly opposes YS Jagan and his candidature for Seemandhra CM. It in turn makes the ongoing political game much interesting.
