Congress Party diluted Rules for Botsa’s sake?

It is evident that the Congress Party has going on with the proclamation of allocating single seat for the same family members. Nevertheless, the latest developments reveal the fact that Congress Party which has denied Maheshwaram seat for Sabitha Indra Reddy, the former home minister of the state, giving the same reason has recently allocated as many as five seats to Botsa’s family members.

In the previous general elections held in 2009, with the intervention of the then Chief Minister late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Botsa could able to get as many as four tickets of Congress Party for his family members. Nevertheless, all four have proven their strength in the polls then and won all the four seats allocated to them.

For the looming general elections, in addition to the existing four seats, one more additional seat has been allotted to Botsa’s family. The details of seats allotted to Botsa’s family are appended below:

Botsa Satyanarayana (Self) - Cheepurupalli constituency

Botsa Jhansi (Wife) - Vijayanagaram constituency

Appala Narasaiah (Cousin) - Gajapathinagaram constituency

Appala Naidu (Cousin) - Nellimelli constituency

Ramana Murthy (Cousin) - Vijayanagaram (assembly) constituency

According to sources, the chances of their winning in the frightening elections is very squashy, as the people of the region are every discontented over the dual stand taken by Botsa in the matter of state bifurcation.

It is worth mentioning here that the local people have attacked the residence of Botsa during Seemandhra agitation and have set fire to his home also.
