Vaira: MLA Chandravathi’s convoy attacked

Khammam: The convoy of Banoth Chandravathi, the sitting MLA of Vaira, was attacked on Thursday night at Tummalapalli of Konijerla mandal in Khammam district. She is the TRS candidate for Vaira assembly constituency for the looming polls.

The convoy was attacked with hurling of stones and eggs by a few malefactors belonging to Tummalapally. The flags of the convoy were nerved, apart from abusing the activists and supporters of Chandravathi. Nagaraju, the gunman, who tried to envisage the attack, was injured in this incident. A compliant has been booked by Chandravathi at Konijerla police station. Chandravathi in her complaint made it a mention that she was attacked by CPI activists and demanded for strict action against them.
