Brawl Between TRS, Congress Activists. Early on Monday, the last day for election campaigning in Telangana, there was a punch-up between the TRS and Congress Party activists near Chowdarypalli at Gadwal in Mahabubnagar district.

Hyderabad: Early on Monday, the last day for election campaigning in Telangana, there was a punch-up between the TRS and Congress Party activists near Chowdarypalli at Gadwal in Mahabubnagar district. The police who rushed the spot have intervened and chased away the activists of either party. The police have not even spared the women activists. In this incident, as many as 10 activists belonging to either party have smashed up of which 3 were identified as women. The details of what went wrong that led for the brawl between the two parties is not known as of now.

Gadwal constituency turns to be the home constituency of DK Aruna, the former minister in the state cabinet. Also, Monday turns to be the final day for election campaigning. The activists of the two parties who have come across with each other during their campaigning have reportedly instigated each other leading for the brawl, according to sources.

It is worth mentioning here that early on Monday, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the Telangana PCC Chief, was campaigning at his local constituency. During this episode, at the weavers’ colony in Janagaon municipality jurisdiction, a student named Vijay Bhaskar tried to hurl a chappal at Ponnala Lakshmaiah. The Congress Party activists who noticed this attempt banged the student ferociously and taken him away from the location. Upset over this matter, Ponnala turned back from that place without further campaigning.
