Nizamabad/Gajwel: TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday warned voters that if they opt for BJP in the election “we would ourselves be losing Hyderabad. It would amount to writing the death warrant on Hyderabad.” Addressing a public meeting, he hit out at BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, accusing them of conspiring to give rights on Hyderabad to Andhras. Addressing another meeting at Mandamarri in Adilabad district, he expressed confidence of winning 96 Assembly seats in Telangana.
At the Nizamabad meeting, he alleged that Naidu had joined hands with Modi to save his assets and that Modi was trying to secure votes and seats in Andhra by promising to make Hyderabad the second capital. While stating that victory of Asad ‘bhai’ (Owaisi) in Hyderabad was certain, he said there was need to elect TRS in 16 other Lok Sabha seats and to ‘bury BJP fathoms deep’.
KCR emphasised that Telangana reconstruction was possible only by TRS. He said there was need for TRS government as distribution of water, jobs, funds and assets between the two States was pending. M Sunil Reddy, BJP Balkonda constituency in-charge, and several town leaders of other parties like Dr Sivaprasad and L Ravinder joined TRS.
