Ponnala Lakshmaiah: No Need to Tie up Alliance With TRSHyderabad: Ponnala Lakshmaiah, the Telangana PCC Chief, on Monday at Gandhi Bhawan in Hyderabad addressed the media and said that there was no need for the Congress Party to tie up an alliance with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi led by KCR. He was poised over the matter that Congress Party would win the polls and attain the reins of power, for sure. He alleged that TRS Party has been deceiving the people. He wondered whether people would believe if TRS claims that Telangana was formed due to KCR. He said that he would be meeting with the MP, MLA and ZPTC candidates on May 10; and with Municipal candidates on May 11.

It is evident that Ponnala Lakshmaiah held a review meeting with the party leaders from all 10 Telangana districts on Monday. This meeting reportedly began at 10 a.m. on Monday and aims to discuss the party’s situation in the civic and general elections. The meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday.

The discussions would be focussed on such issues like the places at which the party has strong chances of winning, moderate chances of winning and other such similar issues. The results of local body and civic elections will be declared on May 12, according to the sources. The strategy to be followed in deciding the MPTC and ZPTC chairmen will also be discussed during the meeting. A list of the leaders who expect the chairman post will also be prepared during the said meeting scheduled for Monday.
