Hyderabad: Pawan Asks KCR not to Make Provocative Statements

Addressing the media here on Friday, Pawan said the bifurcation issue was settled and KCR was set to take the oath as Chief Minister. He should focus on governance and not to resort to making inflammatory speeches against the people of Seemandhra lest it should become detrimental to the national integrity, the Jana Sena chief stated.

Thanking Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi for according him a rare honour of participating in the first meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which was held in the Central Hall of Parliament, Pawan said, "It shows Modiji's greatness,"

Replying to a question, he said the Jana Sena would now focus on building the party from grassroots-level.

“Our party will contest the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections to be held in November. The party will be transformed as a full-fledged party in the next six months. It is not important for me as to how many seats the party will win in the GHMC elections,” he explained. Contesting the polls would give political experience to his partymen and victory or defeat would make no difference to him as the party would be making its electoral debut, he added.

Meanwhile, some of the newly elected TDP lawmakers -- MP Ch Malla Reddy (Malkajgiri) and MLAs Teegala Krishna Reddy (Maheswaram), Madhavaram Krishna Rao (Kukatpally) and others -- representing the constituencies that fall under GHMC -- called on Pawan Kalyan and expressed their gratitude for campaigning for their victory in the recently held Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
