Anantapur: N.Raghuveera Reddy, the PCC Chief of Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday demanded that Chandrababu Naidu should abide by his promise to write-off the loans indebted by the farmers. He addressed the media at Anantapur on Saturday and said that Chandrababu Naidu has been afraid of this very issue, as he was aware that the revenue system would be spoiled completely by implanting the scheme. He said that for the write-off loans incurred by the farmers, there was a need of Rs 80K cr.

Raghuveera further said that the farmers have not paid their dues so far, keeping in view of the promise made by Naidu and from the other side they need fresh loans going on with the approaching of Khareef season. If the farmers need a fresh loan, they need to pay off their dues, added Raghuveera. He reminded that Naidu has made his promise after the state bifurcation. He criticised Naidu stating that there was no clarity in the statement given by Naidu. Raghuveera sarcastically said that Naidu was getting a shiver in his legs to write-off Rs 80K cr all of sudden.
