TANA begins fundraising for Telangana, Seemandhra

Hyderabad: With the prime motto of the construction of the new capital city for residuary Andhra Pradesh and for the development of Telangana, the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) has initiated a fundraising programme. To this effect, a decision has been made by the TANA executive committee. Mohan Nannapaneni, the president of TANA, has said that they would take a decision on the fund distribution, after consulting the governments of either state.

Komati Jayaram and Vemana Sathish, the board members of TANA, have been constantly in touch with the Centre and the state governments to have a track on the needs of the newly emerging states. Mohan Nannapaneni said that the NRI Telugus are very keen for the development of their mother land. He hoped for the procurement of a reasonably good amount of funds towards the same. He said the amount contributed for this purpose would get exempted from tax by the US government.
