T will become a developed State, says Suravaram

Hyderabad: Communist Party of India national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy wished that Telangana would become a strong and developed State. He hoped that the Telugu people on both sides will maintain brotherly relationship, as the separation was only geographical.

In his message to the people of Telangana, he congratulated the State’s four crore population for having their own State. He recalled as to how the people suffered under the rule of Nizam and later due to the merger with the Telugu speaking regions.

As all the steps to keep the State united failed owing to continuous neglect and violation of norms, it had become inevitable for the separation, he stated. However, Suravaram felt that the new State would not immune to challenges. Left parties and democratic forces should ensure the State of affairs stable and ensure that poverty and prejudice will be eradicated, he added.
