Mahender Reddy New Hyderabad Police Chief. M Mahender Reddy, the Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence), was named Hyderabad’s new Police Commissioner on June 2.

Hyderabad: M Mahender Reddy, the Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence), was named Hyderabad’s new Police Commissioner on June 2. A 1986-batch officer, Reddy was selected for the most coveted position in the Hyderabad Police. Reddy served in the districts of Karimnagar, Guntur, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Kurnool and Hyderabad City in various capacities holding managerial/leadership positions in AP Police Department.

He also served as a faculty member at SVP National Police Academy at Shivarampally, Hyderabad, a premier National Police Training Institution where officers of Indian Police Service from all over the country are trained.He went on study tours to USA and UK and acquainted himself with Police Systems in the respective countries. He served in various capacities as Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, IGP, Police Computer Services & Standardization, Chief of Greyhounds and Chief of Intelligence.
