Venkaiah: Congress Betrayed Telugus
He said the Congress government had destroyed the administration, economy and brought growth to a standstill for 10 years. The Modi government was correcting every sector. It would take some time to rectify all mistakes and set the country move on development path. He claimed that the party was responsible for UPA government to make several promises to the State in lieu of the bifurcation. The Polavaram project, special category status to State and all other promises made in the Rajya Sabha by the then prime minister Manmohan Singh would be honoured.

“There is no going back on any promise, including Polavaram project. We are committed to give Polavaram to people of AP, as promised. It is not good for anyone to make an issue out of it, he observed (without naming Telangana Chief Minister KCR). Polavaram is real justice to people of AP, as separate State is the justice for people of Telangana,” Naidu stated. He promised a better deal for Telangana. The government would treat both the States equally and help their overall development.
He wanted the party activists to build the organisation in the State for the next elections.
